Deeply colored; does not give away its age. Attractive, exotic, complex, wild berry nose; subtle rather than overpowering. Even better on the palate; heavily extracted, very rich and dense, viscous, complex, with tremendous grip. Notes include cola syrup, ripe cherries, mushrooms, and black tea. The acidity is perfect, there's still a little bit of tannin to be resolved, but everything is in balance. The finish is exceptionally long and persistent. Overall, thoroughly delicious and quite possibly the best Faiveley wine we've ever encountered.
